X Project Natalie Hansen

I am have a lot more I want to do with it, but here is what I have so far. X=multiply=bunnies. :)

  1. I like the composition, it is fun and the idea is funny. I think the two baby funnies on the left of the couch confused me, because i didn't know where the brown one's head was. Also, the white bunnies' portraits blend into the wall so much that I thought they were blank frames! That is all! Nice! =)

  2. I agree with Ariel about the picture frames. This is a great idea. It almost reminds me of a quilt where all the bunnies are patched on. It would be cool with fabric textures and maybe some stitching. (Sorry, I'm sure that's not at all what you were going for. It's just what my brain said.)

  3. I love the concept! That's such a creative twist on "x". At first glance I thought the picture frames with the white bunnies were empty, so I would up the value in the background or maybe do an outline of the bunny heads to make them stand out.

  4. Haha!!!
You crack me up with this picture! it tickles my visual funnybone.
    Anyway...

I like how the "X' really came across when you made the mama bunny white and the daddy brown, because you could tell all the mixed brown-and-white bunnies were their offspring, therefore the story is told very well.
I feel slightly jarred by the colors, because the tan-ish wall right by the dark brown of the frames hits too hard. and right next to the blue chair... if you want to keep that color on the wall, you could easily put some of that same color into other parts of the piece (add it as a highlight on the frames, or in the couch, or as reflected light on some of the bunnies, whatever you want) and that may help the color harmony.
And the pictures on the wall in the back are hilarious!!!

  5. I love the narrative of this piece! It is very funny! I agree with some of the other comments that were made. The portraits of the white bunnies disappear into the background. I really like how you have designed the bunnies, however, there are a few that are not as visually strong. Overall, great idea!

  6. This idea is so funny! I really like it! Only thing I would suggest is maybe push the value of the couch a little more, its blending in with the floor just slightly. Same with the wall and the white bunnies. But good job!

  7. I love the concept on this so much! The idea really reads well too, I didn't even need the description to see what was going on- really well done. You might want to watch the edges of the brown rabbit against the couch- it gets a little blurry, especially compared to the nice contrast on the white one. Really well done, though!

  8. So glad you went with the bunnies! I'd love more uniformity in rendering. The parents have more details and shadows while some of the little ones seem all shape just kind of slapped on.

  9. The concept reads really well! The brown rabbit does get a little blurry against the couch, so perhaps up the contrast or make a harder edge. Really awesome! It reminds me of 101 dalmatians, but rabbits. Good job!

  10. I love the concept and the color scheme you used. I think the house needs more decorations still. But great work! I love how cute and funny this is!

  11. Fun concept! I like your color scheme, however, the whole thing feels pretty saturated.
