Craig Mullins

“How do you make judgments about your own designs? My advice is first to learn all you can about what has already been done. Always be on the prowl for paintings with design that thrill you. Try to figure out why you like them. If you know what it is about a design that turns you on – what the artist captured that you would like to capture too – then that something becomes part of your repertoire too! It is relatively easy to see how a design is produced once you become aware of exactly what the artist achieved.”
